Meaning of the stamping: On the coast there were many antagonistic animals "Urawe" the wolf, Tuwe the tiger, "Maye" the lion, "Haiku" the blue water snake, and "Xaye" the rattlesnake. There also lived three very young deer. The male was the oldest, he was called Kauyumarie, "The big brother".

The animals of the coast tried to kill Kauyumarie, to make an offering to the gods. But with the help of the "Kukaiwa" vulture, Kauyumarie and her sisters fled to the highlands and the desert of Wirikuta. In the desert Kauyumarie acquired much wisdom and strength with the help of the "Hikuri".

From there he returned to the sierra, his current territory and from that first trip, Kauyumarie established the tradition of the sacred path to Wirikuta. Every year, when the pilgrims return from Wirikuta, the entire community takes part in the dance of Hikuri Neixa, recreating the image of a coiled serpent.
