Huichol Art - The Huichol yarn boards are true multicolored yarn paintings, the yarn is glued with Campeche wax (beeswax), where the Huichol express the visions they have during their rituals, their stories and religion.
The Huichol artisans make pieces of very high quality and great color, which are complexly made, such as the yarn boards that amaze the imagination and are part of the magical world of the Wixarika culture. The hands of the artisans transform the material, making a painting with thread and with beautiful and bright motifs. The Huichol culture is guided by pre-Columbian shamanic traditions linked to ceremonies carried out in its historical past.
The worsted board is a creation of a painting but through the thread. They are special works of great aesthetic value, elaborated by the Huicholes of Nayarit.
