Rooster - Alebrije in miniature made in wood and painted by artisans of Oaxaca. In the Zapotec culture, the alebrije is a wild, mystical and protective animal, linked to every individual from birth; it receives the name of nahual. Alebrijes are carved in copal wood and painted by hand.
